Rickey Lynn Jennings passed away peacefully at home November 30, 2022. He was born on October 18, 1949 to Donna F. Jennings in Boulder County, Colorado.

At a young age, Rickey and his Mom lived on his Grandparent’s farm and enjoyed the love of doting Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. He moved to Pocatello, Idaho at the age of three where his Mother and he joined his new Father, James N. Jennings, who was a rock in Rick’s life, raising him and loving him dearly thru out his life.

Rick soon had a new sister and the family moved to Boise, Idaho where his other three brothers were born. The family moved to McCall Idaho in the early sixty’s. Rick was an amazing skier, accomplishing that on the newly opened Brundage Mountain.  With a move back to Boise, Rick graduated from Borah High School in 1968.  After High School he entered the Navy. Rick was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii for four years. He experienced many fun adventures during his time in the military. He learned to play the guitar and was so pleased to play songs for his buddies. He was honorably discharged in 1972.  Rick returned to Boise and attending Boise State University earning his degree in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating in 1983.

He met the love of his life in Toni Scoble in 1973, They married in Salmon, Idaho and made their home at Northfork, Idaho, where they owned and operated the Northfork Lodge on the Salmon River. These were some of the happiest times of Rick’s life. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoor experiences of the Idaho mountains.

Rick and Toni divorced and he moved back to Boise and went to work for ECHO Industries where he worked until he retired in 2015. He was a wonderful dancer and won several swing dancing competitions in the Garden City community. Rick was so knowledgeable in so many different subjects because he loved reading about anything and everything.  His hobbies included building model ships, a love of astronomy and was a super fan of movies, his collection was extensive.

Rick is preceded in death by his father, James Jennings, his wife Toni Jennings, his maternal and paternal Grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his Mother, Donna Jennings, sister LaUna Wolf (Douglas), brothers, Donald Jennings, Randy Jennings (Patty), Roger Jennings and several nephews and nieces.

A service honoring Rick Jennings which will include Military Honors will be held December 19, 2022 at Bowman Funeral, Home, 10254 W Carlton Bay Dr. Garden City, Idaho 83714 at 11:00 am.  A private internment will be at Cloverdale Cemetery.
